Jobbeschreibung

  • Conduct and lead cutting-edge research in computer vision for autonomous driving, aiming for high-impact publications in top-tier conferences (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, ECCV) and journals
  • Drive the group’s strategic growth by actively writing competitive research proposals to secure third-party funding
  • Provide scientific mentorship and project management guidance to PhD candidates, Master’s, and Bachelor’s students
  • Manage advanced research infrastructure, including the maintenance and setup of our autonomous sensor vehicles and the computer vision laboratory
  • Deliver high-quality teaching (4 SWS) in the field of computer vision or intelligent mobility and support the professor in academic administration

Qualifikation

  • Outstanding Doctoral degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field, with a deep specialization in computer vision for autonomous driving
  • Profound technical expertise in Python and PyTorch and hands-on experience with ROS and sensor hardware (LiDAR, Cameras)
  • Academic excellence demonstrated by a strong publication record and experience in grant writing or acquiring third-party funding
  • Strong mentorship skills and enthusiasm for guiding early-career researchers and supervising student projects
  • Fluent English and German (written and spoken) to effectively teach, collaborate with local partners, and communicate within an international research environment
